It's actually TEST DAY for my mod 1. I still cant believe that I've overcome so much to get to this point. Didn't sleep much last night. Very worried about today, again thinking about everything that can and will go wrong. Off we went. Got there in plenty of time, but not enough time for the nerves to build up. Sue wished me luck and the tester introduced himself. He explained a few things and ... it was time. As soon as I got started I was ok. The main one that I was concerned about was getting the speed up for the hazard avoidance. After that one and I stopped, I shook my head. He said what's up and I was like I'm sure I didn't do that fast enough. He reassured me that I'd probably done it a bit too fast but it was totally fine. PHEW!! Anyway, got that wrapped up! went back and was told that I had passed with a clean sheet!! OMG I couldn't believe it...... HOWEVER ..............................
if you've been reading my blog, you will have read that my mod 2 test is tomorrow. The tester came out and advised my instructor that a space for a mod 2 test was available in a couple of hours!! Sue (my instructor) pulled some strings and I was secured that slot
OMG my mod 2 test is now today!! Come on Hannah, you've got this. Sue took me for some final preps before the test. Sue had some lunch - I couldn't eat hahaha.
The time was here - Mod 2 , let's 'ave ya!
The tester followed me in his car and gave me directions/ instructions via the earpiece. Thank god they can't hear you talking to yourself is all that I can say.
We did the mod 2, he told me to go one direction but I totally followed the route that I went on during my training. I remembered what my instructors told me, you can go the wrong way but make sure you go the wrong way the right way.
It was about 40min ride but it felt like 15 minutes. Honestly!. I even thought we were going back early because I had failed..... but I passed with 1 minor (an indicator where I went the wrong way) OH MY GOD I DID IT! When they told me I burst into tears lmao!
I cannot thank my instructors enough. My best friend, Noo, also played a huge part in me doing this journey, she always believed in me and believed I could, even when I doubted myself.
